Kirbro Contracting Pty Ltd is one of Queensland’s most reputable Civil and Pipeline Contractor’s – Formally established in 2014 by brothers Tim
and Michael Kirchen is a fully family owned business operating out of Central and South East Queensland.
Kirbro has been widely used by large construction companies as a specialised subcontractor for anything civil, water and waste water related with other works as required.
In 2016 Kirbro expanded to offer our services directly to the local industry.
Managing Director Tim Kirchen has been working in Civil Construction for the past 15+ years.
His dual trades in carpentry and drainage have enabled him to complete works on various projects such as Proserpine Water Treatment Plant with Abi Group, Curtis Island Water and Sewerage Network with McCosker Contractors, various contracts with Wide Bay Water, Sewer Enabling Project Toowoomba and Teddington Raw water intake pump station with BMD.
He has vast knowledge and experience in structures and drainage areas ranging from PE, AC, GRP and DICL Pipelines, water and sewer pump stations, live cut-ins and mechanical pipe fit outs to large scale storm water infrastructure and concrete retaining structures.
Construction Manager Michael Kirchen works on-site ensuring the highest standards in all aspects of Kirbro contracts and works.
He is also a highly competent final trim operator of graders, excavators and skid steers. Working on various major projects with AbiGroup, Leighton Contractors, MaC Dow and BMD has given him a vast knowledge and experience of plant, covering all aspects of civil works from pipelines, bulk excavations to road construction and maintenance.
We believe the hands-on approach by Tim and Michael ensures that Kirbro keeps meeting all goals for quality, safety and value for money to our employers and the community.
Kirbro Contracting has a fully operational workshop and office based in Maryborough and a smaller workshop set up in Brisbane’s West.
We employee a full-time, qualified diesel fitter that is available 24/7 in the event of emergency breakdowns and maintenance works to be completed out of normal hours as to not interfere with project progress. They also keep our fleet of over 25 Excavators, Skid Steers, Backhoes, Trucks, Trailers and Site Vehicles in immaculate working order, allowing us to complete works and service the entire east coast of Australia from Innisfail to Hobart.
From humble beginnings our workforce has grown to more than 15 employees. Our staff range from supervisors and foreman through to plumbers, carpenters, operators, poly welders and a diesel fitter.
Our fleet of various plant, all BMA spec, works hand in hand with our crews to perform efficiently, safely and to budget even on the most complex projects.
